Aurin Choir Workshop and Concert

We are looking forward to welcoming the amazing Aurin Choir to Barnsley and we hope to do some work with them on Saturday 24th June in the morning. There will be a special workshop at Emmanuel Church for Barnsley Singers members from 9.30am – 10.30am and a concert for BS members to watch on Friday 23rd June. Please get these dates in your diary! What an amazing opportunity!! 

The dress code for the workshop on Saturday is rehearsal t-shirts please. This is so that we are all easily identifiable as there will be a lot of people involved in the whole weekend. There are no tickets for the workshop and we have a list of those who have confirmed as attending. It promises to be a brilliant workshop with the Aurin Choir, as we have around 90 confirmed members who will be in attendance for this! Please note there is no parking at Emmanuel Church.

Here’s a little to whet the appetite….

Deus – written by the amazing Levente Gyöngyössy who is one of the most famous composers in the world at the moment. This was the World Premiere of this piece and no other choir in the world has attempted it….because it’s too difficult! Levente worked on the International Jury with Mat Wright in Russia last summer.
