June Update
June Concert
Details
The concert is on Saturday 22nd June 3pm-5pm at the Metrodome.
There will be a rehearsal on Thursday 20th June 6pm-9pm at the Metrodome.
There will also be a rehearsal on the Saturday (time to be confirmed) so I would try and ensure you are free all day on this day.
Parking will be tight at the venue but there will be overflow parking at Barnsley FC and the football ground car park as well.
We will be wearing concert dress (black with a splash of red)
We will be on bleacher style seating so there will be opportunity to sit down during the concert.
The Anniversary Party is on the Saturday Night 8pm-midnight.

Prices are as follows:
Friday Children’s Choir Concert – £8
Friday Youth Choir Concert – £15
Saturday Gala Concert – £16
Saturday Anniversary Party – £15
There will be some paper tickets available to purchase from Lynne Veal in rehearsals from the 4th June.
Volunteers
As you can imagine, this size event relies on the help provided by volunteers. If anyone would like to assist on the Friday please email me and I will send your details on to Karen at BYC
Barnsley Singers has 2 Facebook pages. The first, ‘Barnsley Singers’ is our public page where all members of the public can see posts. This is primarily used to advertise the choir and our upcoming events.
We also have a ‘BS Members Chat’ page, this is a closed group that is only open to choir members and is used to talk about rehearsals, inform us of non-attendance, ask for advice/help etc. These kind of posts are better on here as this is just for members use and not the general public. If you are not a members of the BS Members Chat page please speak to a director who will be happily to help you find the page.

Volunteer Meeting
Barnsley Singers wouldn’t function if it wasn’t for our team of volunteers who help out each week. We are always looking for volunteers who can help. Our next Volunteers meeting is on Tuesday 4th June from 6pm. This is open to all current volunteers as well as anyone is interested in joining the team.
