Sponsorship for Riga – Barnsley Youth Choir

The Directors met on Tuesday prior to rehearsal and they have on behalf of Barnsley Singers agreed to sponsor 4 children to attend and achieve their dream of competing in the European Choir Games in Riga. This is a massive boost for the Youth Choir and helps us to support them in raising vital funds. BYC generously funded our first concert in December 2016 and allow us to use their equipment for our rehearsals, which has enabled us to concentrate our own choir funds towards other projects. Sponsoring the BYC children is our way of saying thanks to them for their ongoing support. Together with the sponsorship money pledged from all our members too, Barnsley Singers really have raised the bar for them and boosted their fundraising on a massive scale. We have received the following message of thanks from the Secretary at Barnsley Youth Choir:

“I have spoken to Mat today and he has advised me that Barnsley Singers have very kindly agreed to sponsor four members for Riga 2017.

I would like to say a huge thank you from all at BYC for the kindness of Barnsley Singers your support is very much appreciated.
